Swansea Community Farm – Child and Youth Worker Swansea Community Farm is seeking an experienced and motivated Child and Youth Worker to lead with the delivery of its Children in Need funded Growing Stronger Project. Pay: £8402 per year (equivalent to £19,430 pro rata) Hours: 16 hours per week (with the possibility of additional hours) Contract: Fixed term for 12 months initially (after successful completion of probation period) with extension possible dependent on funding This right candidate will work alongside their young people, aged 2 -18 years, and deliver Farm based activities and training opportunities that improve the health, wellbeing and confidence of young people facing disadvantage. Swansea Community Farm is the only city Farm in Wales and helps to connect people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities with their food, their environment and each other. An essential part of this is their successful Child and Youth project which provides learning, volunteering and play opportunities for young people. Experience and qualifications in community work, youth work or play work are desirable. Weekend working is a requirement of this post. Closing date: Tuesday 20th August, 1pm.
