Swansea's Healthy Cities Community Voice Portfolio aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Citizens are actively involved in the design and delivery of new/alternative health and social care services
  • Citizens report improved delivery of health and social care services, which are more accessible, tailored and responsive to their needs
  • Embed citizen engagement in local strategic service delivery initiatives as a practice norm for service delivery planning
  • Contribute to knowledge of what works in models of citizen engagement

All of the projects are linked to the World Health Organisation's Healthy Cities initiative which awards "Healthy City" status to cities which can demonstrate that they are working to reduce health inequalities in their area.

Community Voice is a BIG Lottery Funded scheme enabling portfolios of third sector organisations, led by CVCs across Wales, to support citizens to have a greater influence over policies and decisions affecting their community.
