Discovery 50 logoDiscovery is a registered charity and currently operates on a wide range of community projects. Through student volunteering it aims to enrich the lives of disadvantaged people, challenge discrimination as well as supporting people with disabilities.

  • Contract: 13 month Maternity cover
  • Hours: 30 per week, term time only
  • Normal working hours: 10am to 4.30pm per day with a half hour unpaid lunch break Annual leave: 32 days pro rata, excluding bank holidays. (Actual 158 hrs holiday pa)
  • Pension: 5% employer contribution to NEST scheme, employee contribution in line with statutory requirements
  • Salary: £17,059 pro rata (£12,091 actual)
  • Start Date: 3rd December 2018 (13 month post)

This is a complex, public facing role in a busy dynamic office. The post holder will support the recruitment of new volunteers, support them through their induction to the organisation, deal with queries and enquiries and support the smooth running of the organisation by undertaking a wide range of promotion, logistic and administrative tasks.
