This course will be delivered face to face at the Scout & Guide, Bryn Road, Brynmill, SA2 0AU.

Please ensure that you wear comfortable clothing that will enable you to engage with the practical elements of the course.

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Know how to assess an incident
  • Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
  • Manage and unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
  • Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
  • Manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • Understand how to manage a casualty with a minor injury
  • Understand how to manage a variety of conditions

The qualification for this First Aid course is obtained through NUCO. NUCO Training is an approved centre with an Ofqual and SQA regulated awarding organisation - First Aid Awards. Click here for more information.
