This interactive workshop clearly explains how poverty is defined and measured in the UK, the impacts it has across our whole society as well as those directly affected, how it keeps happening in such a wealthy country, and how we can shape our work to have a meaningful impact. Those already working to tackle poverty effectively will benefit from helpful tools and clear models to help communicate the positive impacts of their work.

Making Sense of Poverty uses slides, exercises and discussion. You will learn clear, simple models to articulate and explain poverty to others, and to plan effective work.
