Mission Gallery Board of Directors - Chair Mission Gallery is recruiting a new Chair of their Board of Directors. They seek an individual with experience of leadership and the development of successful Boards/teams in partnership with a Director/other, and someone who shares their commitment to the value of arts and culture and to the role cultural institutions can play in catalysing social change, as well as experience of change management, advocacy and articulation of vision for a major arts/other organisation. The role is unpaid, and has an initial term of office three years. The time commitment is variable, but is expected to be equivalent to half a day per week/two days per month at most. Mission Gallery has developed a reputation for dynamic and distinctive programming, to present excellence across the visual arts, applied arts and craft, from across Wales and beyond. It is an exciting time in their development: investigating new income streams and ways of working whilst seeking to build on their recent successes. they need a new Chair to bring experience, skill and enthusiasm to assist in achieving their aims. They’re looking for a Chair who can lead and support the organisation as it seeks to become more sustainable, and to bring a fresh perspective and challenge where appropriate.
