Leonard Cheshire LogoChange makers is a citizen reporting project aimed to empower young disabled people to share their thoughts on issues surrounding disability and build a small campaign for change in their local area.

Change makers is a 6 month programme, meeting once a week at 5pm via zoom.

Leonard Cheshire’s Change Maker programme provides training in how to become a Citizen Reporter, giving you the opportunity to create campaigns and make a change in your community.

During your six months on the Change Makers programme, you will learn more about:

  • Highlighting important issues through speaking to people in your community and capturing your own thoughts using your smartphone
  • Telling people about the things that affect you in your local community
  • Getting your voice heard!

They are currently operating in four locations – Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow and Swansea, and are looking for 6 young disabled people to join up and become change makers.
