West Glamorgan Regional Partnership logoThe West Glamorgan Partnership would like to gather the views of volunteer involving organisations in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area around what their digital ‘wish list’ would be to enhance volunteering and volunteer management in the area.

The Volunteering Recovery Project is a multi-agency, cross county (covering the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas) project to create shared resources to develop knowledge, management and coordination of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations in the area.

There is the potential to develop a, or several, platforms (websites / apps / databases / other!) that support and enhance volunteering – both formal and informal – in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas, and we’d like your views on what these digital offerings should support.

Over the last 10 months the coronavirus pandemic has reshaped the way many of us are offering support, encouraging innovation, but also presenting challenges.

There have been many national, and international examples of technology providing innovative solutions to problems throughout the pandemic; and digital platforms offer a chance to radically change the number of people engaged in formal and informal volunteering in the future.

Please help us by answering a few questions about potential digital solutions to issues you have encountered – this could be around recruiting, supporting and coordinating volunteers, better monitoring of the difference your volunteers have made, a way of tracking informal mutual support in our communities, and more – we want to hear your ‘dream’ scenarios!

The survey will close at 9am, Monday 8th March, so please take a few moments to tell us your thoughts – click here
