Fareshare Cymru logoFareShare Cymru have now set up and started deliveries to their new Local Collection Point in Swansea City Centre.

They are there every Thursday morning and are looking for more organisations to help them fight hunger and tackle food waste.

At FareShare Cymru, they work with suppliers and distributors in the food industry to access some of their surplus food, then redistribute it to not-for-profit organisations within South Wales.

In 2018/19, 540 tonnes of surplus food were saved and provided over 1 million meals to people in need.

They work with local projects and charities that provide food and social support to their beneficiaries. Their current members are a variety of organisations including homeless hostels, refugee centres, church groups, and community cafés.
