West Glamorgan Regional Partnership logoWest Glamorgan Regional Partnership (WGRP) are inviting statutory organisations, voluntary, community and other third sector organisations to submit an application to the Housing with Care Capital Fund for Minor Projects.

The key criteria for the applications must demonstrate how the bids will:

  • Support avoiding people being admitted to hospital and supporting people being discharged from hospital back into their communities, whether that be their own home, a care home or a temporary placement, and/or;
  • Support people who are waiting for a domiciliary package of care to ensure they can remain safely in their own homes

The allowable costs can include the following:

  • Repairs, refurbishments and improvements to existing housing with care or intermediate care settings;
  • Equipment and adaptations;
  • Other smaller scale projects in support of the above criteria;
  • Digital aids, monitoring, and assistive technologies
  • Revenue costs including staffing costs, overheads and running costs are not allowable under this scheme.

Regional applications will be prioritised to ensure parity of services and solutions across both Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. West Glamorgan Regional Partnership welcome innovative pilot proposals that test new solutions to support people to remain safely in their own homes.

Being able to demonstrate the impact of the project is crucial, so that WGRP are able to demonstrate the difference being made to the people using the services / solutions.

The capital fund available is £770,000, and is available from August 2022 to March 2023.

The approval process will be in two stages:

- Stage 1 will prioritise the schemes that meet the criteria, and

- Stage 2 will involve a workshop with all project leads where they can ‘pitch’ their ideas.

This will provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the project and what it will deliver.
