Learning to Lead

ILM – Institute of Leadership and Management accredited course

This three day comprehensive leadership development programme has been designed for staff, volunteers and board members wishing to develop their management skills, knowledge and confidence. The course is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and involves completing two pieces of coursework.  The course fee includes all costs for registration with ILM and assessment of coursework, as well as a comprehensive Management Toolkit.

Agored Cymru Level 3 Award in Community Development

QCF code: 600/3307/1

This CD qualification is accredited by Agored Cymru. The course is designed to provide learners with a sound knowledge of CD values and processes, understanding of skills for group work and awareness of diversity, inequality and injustice issues.  Achieving the qualification involves completing 6 written assignments and attending 10 days of training.  Completion of this Award enables progression to the Level 3 Certificate in CD – please contact SCVS Training Service for more information

Level 3 Award in Training and Education (previously PTLLS)

This qualification sets the minimum standard for all those in or entering the learning and development sector. It introduces the knowledge and skills required by trainers and teachers to develop and deliver programmes, provide learning support and take responsibility in managing the learning process in post-16 education. 

Anyone who teaches courses that are publicly-funded has to be qualified. This qualification meets the basic minimum standard for those entering the lifelong learning profession and confers a threshold licence to teach. 

Social Care Induction Wales: Induction to Safeguarding in Social Care in Wales

This Level 2 Agored course looks at knowing how to recognise different types of harm, abuse and neglect; understand how individuals are protected from these; and your role in relation to safeguarding adults and children and young people.

From time to time, we also run a four day accredited Introduction to Counselling Skills course (Agored Cymru Unit code: PS12CY026) as well as accreditation for those who complete three days of training in Accounting Basics, Financial Management and Writing a Successful Funding Bid (Agored Cymru Unit code: AK22CY003).
