SNAP Cymru are currently recruiting for a Digital Communications Officer and a First Line Advice Giver.

Digital Communications Officer

  • The post is based in Swansea. Covid home-working and limited office working will apply
  • This is a time limited post to end March 2022
  • Hours: 35 pw
  • Salary: SNAP Cymru Payband 6 spinal point 24-26 depending on experience There is a possibility of rising within this point range after 6 months in the role. £23,138.41 – £ £24,264.71
  • Responsible for: Day to day management of digital communications across platforms
  • Responsible to: Assistant Director with communications oversight

Main duties:

  • Assist the Senior Leaders and ICT Systems Manager in the creation and maintenance of the charity’s bilingual web pages.
  • Skilled at writing concise copy and accurately editing content for the website.
  • Be the first point of contact for queries relating to web/social media content.
  • Helping to manage marketing campaigns
  • Managing the day to day running of our social media accounts
  • Helping to produce brochures/leaflets and flyers – on-line & off-line
  • Writing copy to help demonstrate SNAP Cymru’s impact, including photos, videos, case studies and simple graphics using design platforms

First Line Advice Giver - Full training will be provided

  • Responsible to: Service Manager
  • Hours: 30hrs per week
  • Salary: responsibility band 3 spinal point 13 £17,209 pro rata based on a 35 hour week
  • Control Office: Swansea

Main purpose: Empowering families and young people through:

  • Answering calls from families and young people
  • Recording information accurately
  • Exploring the concerns of the caller

Main Tasks:

  • To support a full time, bilingual, Help Centre through active listening and volunteer support
  • To explore the issues, record the main points and set up call backs according to the system in place
  • When confident – to signpost callers to existing written information
  • Supporting the reporting process – gathering data
  • To log detailed information into our casework management system
  • Manage an appointments calendar and delegate referrals to specialist advisors.
