Swansea Women’s Aid - CHYPS Community Support Worker Swansea Women’s Aid offers dynamic, innovative services to women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Hours: 35 per week Annual salary: £20,020 Temporary post to cover for maternity leave up to 1 year The CHYPS (Children and Young People) Community Support Workers key areas of responsibility are: To provide 1 to 1 sessions and group work, identifying and responding to the specific emotional and practical needs of children and young people who have experience of domestic abuse, past or present. To use the principle of self-help to increase children and young people’s safety and enable self - confidence and emotional wellbeing. To deliver S.T.A.R programmes to address the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people and raise awareness of healthy relationships.
