Swansea Asylum Seekers Support logoSASS brings together asylum seekers, refugees and local people to share, help and improve lives.

Swansea Asylum Seekers Support is looking for new Trustees to help steer their charity as it addresses expanding need in the asylum system. They are looking for new trustees who will work with them to sustain and develop their organisation at an exciting and challenging time.

They are looking for new Trustees who will:

      • Share responsibility for SASS
      • Bring fresh ideas to the table as they work with their members to plan new activities and their long-term future
      • Help them ensure that they keep their finances on track, and that they operate safely and within the law

As part of their succession planning, they are looking for trustees who might be interested over the next 6 to 12 months in taking on specific roles. For example:

      • Chair
      • Treasurer
      • Staff managers
      • Represent them on the Destitution working group - a wider group supporting Share Tawe
      • Membership of sub-committees - e.g. HR, Finance

Training and support is available both internally and through Swansea Council for Voluntary Service.
