Swansea Community Farm are currently seeking up to 4 new trustees to join the board of this unique community led, award winning charity - the only city farm in Wales, set in 3.5 acres of land.

    The site was built and is farmed by volunteers, and hosts a range of rare breed farm animals, allotments, wildlife areas, bee hives and training kitchen and café. Every year they work with hundreds of people, aged 8 to 80, to provide life changing volunteering opportunities, practical training, and play activities.

    Current farm project include:

    • Calon farm – practical farm volunteering with a focus on mental wellbeing and peer support
    • Farm Clwb – their Children in Need Funded programme which provides an opportunity for vulnerable young people to run for farm every Saturday, caring for animals, growing vegetables, cooking healthy food, learning about conservation.

    The farm are looking for trustees with a wide range of skills, a commitment to their values, an interest in the work of the farm, and good general management skills. They are particularly interested in recruiting people with the following skills/background:

    • Conservation
    • Farming or veterinary
    • Legal
    • Financial/accounting
    • Procurement experience
    • Health, social care or third sector management
    • Safeguarding
