SYSHP (Swansea Young Single Homeless Project) is a homeless charity based in Swansea, which has been delivering services to vulnerable socially excluded and potentially homeless young people for over 20 years. 

      Are you curious and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills? Do you want to find out what young people, their families and tenants want for their communities?

      SYSHP has been granted an award by Nationwide Building Society for a year’s project aiming to research and pilot new models of appropriate housing for young people.

      They are looking for:

      • 1 x Full-time Policy and Research Officer 37.5 hours – £24,686; ref NS/RO/09/18

      • 1 x Part-time Peer Mentor Research Assistant 25 hours salary £21,030 Pro rata; ref NS/PR/09/18/PT

      Holidays 32 days per year including Statutory Holidays (pro rata for part-time post)

      You will be working within a small team to ensure the delivery of the project.

      They’re looking for candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, intellectual curiosity and an analytical mind-set. A commitment to involving and working alongside young people and stakeholders are a pre-requisite. A degree of flexibility is required along with an understanding of the issues and disadvantages that young people face.
