SYSHP - Development Worker New Beginnings Project SYSHP (Swansea Young Single Homeless Project) is a homeless charity based in Swansea, which has been delivering services to vulnerable socially excluded and potentially homeless young people for over 20 years. The vision of the Regenerate (New Beginnings) project is the result of on-going work involving young people in taking control. The need for the project was identified by young people, in partnership with other stakeholders, SYSHP staff, other agencies and employers. The project complements and enhances existing homelessness support services through the provision of additional mentoring support and activities that focus on supporting young people to move on and thrive, through inspiring self-confidence, developing new skills, acquiring qualifications and ultimately achieving economic independence through paid employment The post holder will play an important role in engaging and working with young people to develop activities that will improve self-confidence, develop skills and give young people a voice.
