Volunteers are one of the most valuable resources third sector organisations have to deliver their work, so ensuring that they are effectively supported, supervised and developed is at the heart of good volunteer management.

This 2 part course will take place face to face.

4th & 5th June (2 part course), 10am - 4pm both days.

This two day course will benefit those who are new to volunteer management or those who want to update and improve their practice. By completing the course you will enhance your knowledge, skills and confidence in managing volunteers.

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Consider what volunteer policies and procedures you need in place.
  • Be aware of current good practice in volunteer recruitment.
  • Understand how to confidently support, supervise and develop volunteers.
  • Explore your role in dealing with challenging situations and having difficult conversations.

Please note that if you fail to attend or you provide less than 2 weeks' cancellation notice you will be charged the full amount. If you find that you are unable to attend, we do allow and encourage you to find someone to take your place on the course, if this is possible for us to do for you at the time.
