Membership

SCVS members event - show of hands June 2017SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.

Our growing membership of more than 300 organisations includes groups large and small; from branches of national charities to regional, local and micro community organisations. Your membership eligibility depends on your geographical area of operation, and whether you are a third sector organisation.

Following a review of our membership scheme in 2017, SCVS offer one category of Membership – ‘SCVS Member’ - which is open to constituted Third Sector organisations which offer benefit in C&C Swansea and are therefore stakeholders (they do not necessarily need to be based in the County).

(Please note: We define ‘Third Sector’ as constituted (have formally adopted a ‘set of rules’ which governs how your group operates) voluntary / community groups of at least 2 people, charities, social enterprises, CIOs, CICs, etc.)

SCVS Member:

Is your group or organisation a constituted Third Sector organisation which provides benefit in City & County of Swansea? Then great news - you're eligible to apply for SCVS Membership.

  • Hyperlinked listing on SCVS Members page online to your site
  • Submit information about your work to ‘Our Members Stories’ and have a permanent online presence on the SCVS site (contact Gail for information or tick the box at the end of the application form)
