Volunteer Centre:

By registering your volunteering opportunities with our Volunteer Centre, your group will benefit from free recruitment of volunteers, access to the Evening Post’s ‘We Can Do It’ column, announcements on Swansea Sound and inclusion in the wider promotion of volunteering and volunteering opportunities which SCVS undertakes.

Training Courses & Events:

Our Training Unit and Learning Centre provides informal and formal learning opportunities to enhance the skills, knowledge and confidence of individuals, voluntary organisations, community management committee members, paid staff and volunteers.

  • Our Open Programme contains a wide range of short courses from Committee Skills to Financial Management, available to members at a reduced fee, with various qualification options to choose from
  • As part of the CVC infrastructure agreement, SCVS delivers training under the Courses for Communities programme, the Wales wide voluntary sector training framework
  • Advice and Guidance can be provided on career and learning opportunities (This service is impartial and confidential)

Partnership, Representation & Consultation:

Through direct consultation and forums (Mental Health, Volunteering, Disability, and more), SCVS identifies the views of the local voluntary sector and conveys them to key decision makers locally, regionally and nationally. Click here to find out more.
