New local grant fund open As the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) has come to an end Swansea Council have allocated £300,000 to continue to support third sector organisations in the Swansea Bay area. The “Community and Third sector Grant Fund” aims to strengthen and support organisations by providing core funding to increase organisational strength and capability. Impact will be seen through increased delivery, improved strategic planning and decision-making, organisational capacity, financial health, leadership, creativity and innovation, and adaptability. Eligibility: Any constituted third sector organisation can apply (Registered charities (CIOs etc.), Social Enterprises with not-for-profit clause in governing document (CICs, companies Limited by Guarantee) and not for profit constituted groups (unincorporated associations). Your organisation's income should be between £50,000 and £500,000 in the most recent financial year. Value: Your organisation can apply for up to 10% of your income in most recent financial year’s published accounts or £30,000 (whichever is lower). This sets a maximum value of £30,000 for the fund. Example A: Your organisation has an income of £180,000. You can apply for £18,000.Example B: Your organisation has an income of £450,000. You can apply for £30,000. Priorities: Delivering services for local communities and creating community benefit Reporting: You will report on outputs and outcomes after 3 and after 6 months (collect data of e.g. number of participants, events, volunteers, but also organisational developmental processes).
