Involve

Involve logoInvolve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people. We have a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea.

Involve Volunteering Project is a partnership between Swansea Council for Voluntary Service and the City & County of Swansea Social Services Department, SBUHB and Families First. Established in November 1987, Involve is one of SCVS’s own volunteering projects.  Our volunteers provide local people with support.  Volunteers befriend children, young people, adults or families in our local community on a one to one basis, or in a group setting.

All Volunteers have to satisfy our safeguarding  requirements, by providing two references and undertaking a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). Volunteers also need to attend a two-day or four-evening Induction training course.

Find out more about the projects within Involve below.
