Mynydd y Gwair Community Fund logoThe Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund will provide grants to organisations providing services, facilities or activities that benefit the communities within the area of benefit for the Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund.

This includes the following Community/Town Council areas: Llangyfelach, Pontlliw and Tircoed, Pontarddulais, Mawr, Penllergaer, Clydach and Morriston.

Who can apply?

  • Constituted voluntary or community organisations
  • Registered charities
  • A not for private profit company or Community Interest Company
  • Social Enterprises
  • Schools
  • Town and Community Councils

Statutory bodies will be eligible to apply in exceptional circumstances if they can demonstrate the project has strong partnership links with the local community and that they are the best-placed organisation to undertake the project.

Your application will need to demonstrate how your project significantly benefits communities within the area of benefit for the fund.

Application process

  • Check you are eligible, i.e. do you provide services, facilities or activities within the area of benefit and have the documents required?
  • If you are unsure please email [email protected] to discuss your application idea so your eligibility can be confirmed.
  • Statutory bodies intending to apply must contact SCVS before completing the form.
