Swansea Welsh Church Act Trust Fund

The fund is open to all voluntary, charitable or benevolent groups based in - or having significant user numbers in - the Swansea area, and awards grants to successful applicants up to a maximum of £5,000.

Churches, Chapels and other places of worship in Swansea are also eligible to apply, however these groups are limited to applications for building or other capital works and the maximum grant awarded is generally £1,000.

There is no set closing date for applications, if sufficient funds are available the Trustees Panel sits twice a year. Received applications will be presented to the next appropriate panel.

Christmas Grants to Older People’s Groups

Swansea based groups (luncheon clubs, OAP Associations, Social Club OAP groups, Sheltered Accomodation Social Groups, Hobby Clubs etc) who meet regularly and whose members are majoratively over 50 years of age are eligible to apply.

All successful applicant groups are awarded £30 annually at Christmas time.

Applications are accepted at any time.

The AONB Sustainable Development Fund (SDF)

The AONB Partnership operates a small grant scheme which aims to develop and test ways of achieving a more sustainable way of living in Gower.

The scheme seeks to conserve and enhance the local characteristics of culture, wildlife, landscape, land use and community. Sustaining the social well-being and economic viability of communities are also important aims of the grant scheme.

Before applying, you are strongly advised to discuss your ideas with the AONB Officer to make sure that your project is eligible for funding.
