Mynydd y Gwair Community Fund logoOver the last four years, Mynydd y Gwair Windfarm Community Fund has awarded over £1,000,000 in grants for local groups within the eligible area.

They're looking for people local to the area to join the panel which decides where the funds are allocated.

The panel are now seeking new members to join them in continuing this work over the next few years, and particularly welcome applications from people living in the Mawr and Clydach areas, or the North and West of the impacted area.

Being a member on the grants panel has been such a great experience. Working with such a lovely group of people has been a pleasure, and the process has been so clear and fair. It’s really special to see funding, that we have helped to allocate, is making such a positive difference to the communities we live in.

As a panel member I feel that I can really make a difference within our local communities with great satisfaction in actually seeing an initial request for funding come to fruition a few months later. I know that people in my area are benefiting and that’s important to me. There is also an added bonus the management of the panel and the grant process by Swansea CVS shows fairness and transparency...so being a member is a pleasure not a worry, hassle or chore
