tidyMinds and SortedSupported Launch October 2024World Mental Health Day 2024 saw the public launch of the SortedSupported and tidyMinds websites.

These online mental health and wellbeing resources have been specifically designed to help anyone living in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea navigate the array of different kinds of information and support available.

Content on tidyMinds has been created for children and young people, while SortedSupported provides information and support for adults. The websites are both managed by Swansea Council for Voluntary Services. tidyMinds is funded by Swansea Bay University Health Board and SortedSupported by the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership.

Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS) Director Amanda Carr said

We’re so pleased to be managing the tidyMinds and SortedSupported websites, which have been developed alongside the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership agencies. It’s widely acknowledged that more and more people in Wales are seeking support with their mental health, with many searching for help and information online. The sites have been developed to address this need, and reflect our region's commitment to providing holistic emotional wellbeing and mental health support to all those who need it. The sites have already been positively welcomed, and we look forward to seeing the benefits that they will bring as they continue to develop.

With more people turning online for support, both websites contain signposting information to local and national support services, as well as other helpful information resources. The websites also provide information for parents, carers and professionals to better understand and support individuals with their emotional wellbeing.

Nerissa Vaughan, Interim Director of Strategy, Swansea Bay University Health Board said:

The launch of both tidyMinds and SortedSupported is in response to people living in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot telling us that we must improve access to advice and information. Feedback received, is that historically the information available is often poor and difficult to navigate. The aim of both sites is to provide a resource that is secure and reliable, which provides consistent and up-to date high-level advice for people to identify the support they require in relation to their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
