Responsibilities of Trustees in Safeguarding

This course is for trustees, Directors of CICs, committee members - anyone who has the overall responsibility of safeguarding. 

A chance to identify your responsibilities and reflect on the safeguarding culture in your organisation as well as discuss what needs to go into a policy.

Course Learning Objectives:

• Explain the role of the safeguarding trustee
• Consider the legislation underpinning the role of the safeguarding trustee
• Identify what is required in a safeguarding policy
• Consider your organisations current position and next steps for safeguarding
• Know what incidents to report to the Charity Commission

Requirement of the course:

• For participants to have attended Safeguarding B training.

Cost: £10 to SCVS member organisations.

Please note that if you fail to attend or you provide less than 2 weeks' cancellation notice you will be charged the full amount. If you find that you are unable to attend, we do allow and encourage you to find someone to take your place on the course.
