Introduction to Mentoring This course provides an introduction to mentoring and aims to build confidence and develop skills in providing mentoring support. It would benefit new mentors and project managers of mentoring projects. It will identify what mentoring is and how it differs from other forms of support, introduce key mentoring skills and explore practical ways to structure and manage mentoring sessions. Course Learning Objectives: Define mentoring and discuss how it differs from other forms of support Identify different types of mentoring support Further develop mentoring skills Recognise key values and attitudes Identify key aspects of structuring mentoring sessions Identify key aspects of mentoring agreements Recognise the importance of boundaries Understand safeguarding in the context of mentoring Identify practical considerations for providing mentoring support remotely Trainer: Eileen Murphy.
