Mynydd y Gwair Windfarm Community Fund – Round 18 now open for applications

The Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund will provide grants to organisations providing services, facilities or activities that benefit the communities within the area of benefit for the Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund.

This includes the following Community/Town Council areas: Llangyfelach, Pontlliw and Tircoed, Pontarddulais, Mawr, Penllergaer, Clydach and Morriston.

Round 18 has just opened offering grants of up to £30,000.

Closing date for applications – 12noon, Thurs 5th March 2026

In addition, 2026 micro grants of up to £2000 area also available (open until ringfenced micro grants are used up).

Involve

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.

SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.
