Mynydd y Gwair Wind farm Community Fund Round 17 open

The Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund will provide grants to organisations providing services, facilities or activities that benefit the communities within the area of benefit for the Mynydd y Gwair Local Community Fund.

This includes the following Community/Town Council areas: Llangyfelach, Pontlliw and Tircoed, Pontarddulais, Mawr, Penllergaer, Clydach and Morriston.

Round 17 opens on 1st July for:

Main Grants up to £30,000

Applications for capital projects and revenue bids for one off projects lasting one year maximum will be considered.

Micro Grants up to £2,000 (Currently open and accepting applications on a rolling basis)

Smaller applications for capital projects and revenue bids for one off projects lasting one year maximum will be considered.

Applicants must have strong, demonstratable links in the Mynydd y Gwair area.

Closing date for applications:12noon, 9th September 2025 (panel decision October 2025).

Involve

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.
