The Mynydd Y Gwair Wind Farm Community Fund is made available by RWE’s Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm.

Now it is operational, the 16 turbine project can generate enough renewable electricity to power the equivalent needs of approximately 22,600 average Welsh homes.

The community funding from Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm is long term, sustainable funding, and is expected to distribute approximately £6million over the 25-year operational lifetime of the project.

Round 16 Micro grants (up to £2,000) remains open for applications until 31st March 2025. Third sector organisations, community groups, social enterprises, schools and Town and Community Councils in the areas of benefit are encouraged to apply (click here to find out more).
