Applications open for North Gate Pride in Place Board Help Shape the Future of North Gate Swansea. North Gate Swansea Pride in Place is a UK Government funded programme designed to empower local people to shape the future of their neighbourhoods through long term investment, community leadership and local decision making. North Gate Swansea includes North Hill, Upper High Street, Dyfatty, Hafod, Brynmelyn, Waun Wen and surrounding neighbourhoods. The programme will support local people to develop a shared vision for the future and help create stronger communities, thriving places and greater opportunities for local residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for local residents, businesses, community organisations and people who care about the future of North Gate Swansea to help shape a shared vision for the area and influence how up to £20 million of investment will be delivered over the next ten years. They are particularly keen to hear from people with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and lived experience, especially those whose voices are not always heard in traditional decision making. There are a limited number of places available on the Neighbourhood Board. However, anyone who is not appointed will be warmly encouraged to stay involved through our growing North Gate Swansea Changemakers Network, creating many more opportunities to help shape positive change across the area.
