The C3 Centre for Creativity and Culture CIC The C3 Centre For Creativity and Culture CIC is a performance studio, a Cultural Exchange Centre, as well as a film production studio for all things BAME. C3 Centre for Creativity and Culture CIC is an organisation founded by Chinyere Chukwudi-Okeh and registered on the 25th May 2024. The C3 Centre places creativity and cultural competency at the heart of well-being. As a Community Interest Company, we are dedicated to public service, artistic exploration, and meaningful community engagement through the Arts, Culture, Humanities, and Social Integration. We use creativity not just as a tool for expression but as a powerful means of healing, resilience-building, and belonging. We understand the emotional complexities of displacement, identity loss, and cultural disconnection and respond by creating culturally grounded, inclusive spaces that help bridge those gaps. Through creative exploration of human relationships, cultural climates, and the natural environment, we provide platforms for underrepresented voices—offering visibility, opportunity, and validation. Our workshops, led by diverse creatives, encourage skill-sharing, cultural pride, and creative confidence, especially among young talents. These programs are designed to align with the rich heritage of Wales while promoting emotional well-being and adaptability. C3 upholds the principle of dual functionality in the arts—“Dulce et Utile” (To Entertain and Enlighten). Our events are culturally immersive and entertaining yet purposefully crafted to deepen cultural understanding and encourage dialogue across communities. We believe the arts can be transformative, both personally and collectively. Through creative therapy, we explore the healing capacity of cultural identity and artistic expression. This initiative supports mental health by affirming individual stories and offering safe spaces for emotional processing through various forms of art. Our work extends to celebrating and amplifying migrant narratives through writing, publishing, film, and live performance. We document and share the lived experiences of Asylum Seekers, Refugees, economic, Academic, Adventure, and Safety Migrants, employing storytelling, humour, historical insight, documentary and adaptive performances across genres. These are not just stories; they are valuable contributions to Black History, social education, and cultural preservation. We recognise that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities never travel light—they carry with them layered histories, aesthetic traditions, and deep psychological roots. At C3, we honour this richness by curating experiences that celebrate Welsh multicultural heritage, fostering mutual understanding with the wider UK community. Our Centre functions as a performance studio, cultural exchange hub, and motion picture production studio—open to all, regardless of background. Non-BAME participants are welcomed as collaborators and learners, helping to create a shared space of curiosity, empathy, cultural competency and collective growth. Cultural Subsidiary: The C3 Centre for Creativity and Culture CIC delivers our cultural activities through the Nganga Performing Arts, a group founded by Chinyere Chukwudi-Okeh, which delivers cultural activities across venues and events in Wales and beyond. Our activities are Dance, Melodrama, Drumming, Fluting, Storytelling, Instrumentation, choreography and more. How We Benefit Our Community Creative-EmpowermentWe empower individuals—particularly within the BAME community—by nurturing artistic talent, offering mentorship, and creating access to practical creative skills. Our sessions support mental well-being, offer professional development, and open doors to employment and creative industries. Cultural-Exchange/SupportWe foster community cohesion through cultural exchange programs, educational initiatives, and public art projects that celebrate diversity and invite dialogue. These efforts preserve cultural heritage and build bridges that connect people across experiences and backgrounds. At C3, creativity is more than expression—it's a lifeline, a tool for transformation, and a catalyst for collective well-being.
