Swansea Bay University Health Board logo - April 2019As Swansea Bay University Health Board assess the applications from local third sector organisations to join the Third Sector Provider Framework, SCVS are looking at the additional support we will offer to those groups as the process progresses.

SCVS have been providing support to third sector organisations in Swansea during this process, and will continue to do so as it progresses.

So far, we have identified there is a need for additional training around Quality Frameworks, and we are arranging sessions for groups who joined the framework during June.*

You have also told us that you would like support to register with Cyber Essentials as this is likely to be a requirement of providers, and the Framework requires groups to complete a Data Protection Impact Assessment at stage two, so we are exploring options for training and support across both of these areas.

Groups have also fed back that they might find it useful to meet with other groups who are also going through the process – watch this space for more information soon.

We need to know what else you feel your group will need support with if you progress to the second stage – you can do this either by emailing: [email protected] or (before 5pm, 27th May), or by clicking here to complete a short online survey asking about your experiences so far, and future support needs.

If you would like to join a mailing list to be kept up to date with Framework developments, you can do that through the survey or by emailing Amy, above.

Resources for the next stage

The page of resources and FAQs which we put together to support groups with the initial registration can be found by clicking here – we will be updating that page with new resources as they are developed, and updating the FAQs as further information comes to light.

For your reference, below is the timescale which SBUHB are following for the Framework registration.

We have also had contact from some groups to say that capacity issues meant they weren’t able to complete the initial stage to apply to join the Framework at this time. SBUHB have assured us that there will be future opportunities to apply to join, but at this point there is no indication of when that may be. As soon as we know more we will let you know via our usual communication channels.

If you have any thoughts or concerns about this process, questions, comments or more; please do let us know using the methods above.

*Contact Amy Meredith Davies at SCVS for more information on the SCVS Quality Frameworks training sessions in June.
