Swansea Contribution Corner - Terms and Conditions

Swansea Contribution Corner links individuals who have items to donate with local groups/organisations that need these items.

General Criteria

Items must be given for free.
Items can only be given to a local third sector group/organisation and not to an individual for their sole benefit.
The delivery or collection of items needs to be arranged between the group/organisation and the person willing to donate.
Once an item has been donated to and received by an organisation, the item becomes the organisation’s property and they are then responsible and liable for that item e.g. PAT testing if electrical and inspection\maintenance of equipment to ensure it is safe to use.

Your Safety

SCVS only share contact details given to us by a person donating, with organisations who are interested in their offer. Please see the SCVS Privacy Policy (https://www.scvs.org.uk/privacy) for full details. We will not pass on any details for commercial use. We do not ‘sell’ data.
SCVS cannot ensure the safety of anyone taking part in Swansea Contribution Corner. We recommend that you take sensible precautions when connecting with other participants. For example,, avoid sharing any personal details and arrange any meetings at a safe\public place, with other people present.

Involve

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.
Membership

SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.
