Swansea Parent Carer Forum LogoSwansea Parent Carer Forum are a group of volunteer parent carers all with children who have additional needs and/or disabilities.

Their vision is for Swansea to be a place where the voices of families are valued and effectively used to achieve an equitable and inclusive quality of life for our children, young people, adults and their families.

What Swansea Parent Carer Forum does

They sit on working groups with the Local Authority, Health Board and West Glamorgan Regional Partnership.

They arrange training for parent carers.

They listen and feed your voice into decision making.

If you are a parent carer living in Swansea there are lots of ways you can get involved:

Completing one of their surveys or polls

Accessing one of the training courses they offer

Coming to a focus group

Sharing with them your experiences of local services

Working with them on specific projects

You don’t need to be signed up to the Forum to get involved, but by becoming a member you will receive their monthly newsletter and be kept informed of the work they are doing, training and workshops they are running.
