Swansea Volunteer Management Forum SVMF 2024

Swansea Volunteer Managers Forum is a members network of volunteer managers which regularly meets to develop and share best practice.

Swansea Volunteer Managers Forum provides an opportunity to network, receive peer support, work in partnership and access volunteer management development assistance at bi-monthly meetings.

The forum is an unbiased independent group, led by its members and facilitated by SCVS.

Swansea Funding Forum

Swansea Funding Forum is a members’ network made up of staff, trustees and volunteers involved in funding their third sector organisations. The forum meets quarterly to develop and share best practice around funding the third sector in Swansea.
Community Transport Forum

The Community Transport Forum is a peer support network for local community transport providers to discuss ideas, issues and develop solutions together.
West Glamorgan Regional Partnership -Section 16 Forum

Section 16 places a duty on local authorities to promote social enterprises, co-operatives, user-led services and other third sector organisations for the provision of care and support and preventative services. If your organisation delivers care, support or prevention services we welcome you to join the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership (WGRP) Section 16 Forum.
Mental Health Forum

The Mental Health Forum is an umbrella group of organisations working in the City and County of Swansea who have an interest in mental health and emotional well-being.
Regional health social care and wellbeing network

The Regional Health, Social Care and Wellbeing (HSCWB) network exists to ensure strong communication between the Third Sector in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB), and more recently, the West Glamorgan Regional Programme Team.

Involve

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.
Membership

SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Volunteering Project

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Volunteering Project, funded by SBUHB and managed by SCVS, is a wellbeing support Project for people with mental ill health.

New Ways to Wellbeing

Swansea's Social Prescribing Service. SCVS is working in partnership with 5 SBUHB GP clusters across Swansea to deliver a Social Prescribing Service – ‘New Ways to Wellbeing’.
